What's inside?
This is an Icon Template that, through Smart Objects in Photoshop, automates the process of rendering the sizes that needs to be bundled with tvOS apps. The idea is to edit the largest size and have the smaller sizes automatically rendered, enabling a much quicker workflow when designing icons. You’ll also find a selection of tvOS specific colors and shapes that you can build on, enviroment previews and easy export actions that spit out the exact files you need to deliver to Apple.
How do I use it?
You’ll need Photoshop CC. Open the PSD file in Photoshop. Edit the 1024x1024px Smart Object named 'Edit me & save'. This opens the Appicon.psb file - create your artwork in the designated 5 layer folders. The contents of each folder represents each layer in the parallax. You don’t need to put content into every layer, but it will spit out an empty PNG file that you’ll then need to delete. After saving the Appicon.psb, the multiple sizes in the Main PSD file should automatically be rendered. Use the Photoshop Actions (AppleTV App Icon [1.0].atn) that came in the same folder as the main psd to export your icon files.
